On Friday 31 March, Ofgem published its final decision on the delivery models for non-radial offshore transmission assets under the Pathway to 2030 (PT2030) workstream of the Offshore Transmission Network Review. The document confirms the regulator’s revised minded-to decision to present the choice of two pathways, either a very late competition generator build model or a late competition offshore transmission owner build model. The regulator also confirmed the extension of the application of its Anticipatory Investment (AI) policy to assets within the PT2030 workstream scope. Ofgem will be working to ensure that the delivery models for non-radial offshore transmission assets are developed over the next year.
